Operations Associate (part-time)

About The Role

At Type A, great operations are often invisible to guests but they're essential to everything guests experience.

We're looking for Operations Associates who take pride in keeping things organized, efficient, and ready for service.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys staying active, notices details, and understands that a well-run café is built on hundreds of small actions throughout the day.

Your primary responsibility is helping the team maintain a smooth operation so that our baristas can focus on making great drinks and our Community Team can focus on creating great experiences.

What You'll Do

Space Maintenance, Dishwashing and Bus-out

You will help the space look and feel the best it can be.

• Maintain an organized and hygienic bus-out station
• Wash and sanitize cups, plates, utensils, and other items
• Help ensure the bar team never runs out of clean serveware
• Monitor trash bins and replace liners before they overflow
• Properly segregate and dispose of waste according to operational standards
• Cleaning: opening routines, closing routines, furniture and fixture cleaning
• Help clear and set tables or mop up after accidents if short-staffed

Merchandising & Stock Presentation

You will help keep the retail area looking full, organized, and ready for guests.

• Restock chillers and retail displays
• Keep retail shelves clean and organized
• Ensure products are properly faced and presented
• Support inventory-related tasks as needed
  

Delivery & Online Channel Support

You will ensure delivery orders are picked up quickly without interfering with guest experience.

• Welcome and assist third-party delivery riders
• Help pack delivery orders accurately
• Verify order slips before handoff
• Coordinate closely with the cashier and bar team during peak periods

• Is comfortable being on their feet for most of the shift
• Can work weekends, holidays, and flexible schedules when needed
• Lives nearby and knows the neighborhood (Kapitolyo / Mandaluyong area preferred)

Experience in hospitality is helpful but not required. What matters most is attitude, ownership, and consistency. If the idea of customers being delighted by their experience in a space you maintain delights you - you’re going to enjoy this role!
