Store Head (full-time)
About The Role
At Type A, we're building spaces where people can feel more creative, more themselves, and more like they belong in a community.
We're looking for someone to take ownership of our store at NBS Park who can help make that happen.
This role sits at the intersection of hospitality, operations, leadership, and business.
One moment you might be helping a guest decide what to order. The next you might be coaching a team member, solving an operational issue, reviewing sales performance, or helping plan the future of the business.
Ultimately, you're responsible for ensuring that the store performs well, the team enjoys coming to work, and guests leave wanting to come back.
What You'll Do
Run the Store
You will be responsible for the overall performance of your location.
- Own store sales and profitability
- Identify opportunities to grow revenue, improve efficiency, and guest experience
- Manage inventory and ordering
- Oversee cash handling and daily reporting
- Coordinate with suppliers and partners
- Ensure the store is operating smoothly day to day and delivering on our mission
Lead the Team
You will lead and develop the people who bring Type A to life every day.
- Manage Operations, Baristas, and Community Associates
- Support hiring and onboarding
- Build schedules and manage staffing
- Coach team members and provide regular feedback
- Help create a positive, accountable culture
- Ensure team members continue to grow in their roles
The partners will work closely with you, particularly on hiring, product training, and hospitality standards.
Own the Guest Experience
You are ultimately responsible for what guests experience when they walk into Type A.
- Help maintain a warm and welcoming atmosphere
- Build relationships with regulars
- Resolve guest concerns thoughtfully
- Coach the team on hospitality and service
- Ensure the space feels calm, organized, and cared for
What We're Looking For
Someone who:
- Genuinely enjoys talking to people
- Naturally takes ownership of problems and solutions
- Stays calm under pressure
- Is organized and detail-oriented
- Can balance hospitality with operational discipline
- Enjoys mentoring and developing people
- Is curious about coffee, food, design, hospitality, and culture
- Can comfortably switch between English, Taglish, and Filipino
- Notices things before they become problems
Nice to have:
- Experience leading teams
- Experience in hospitality, retail, food & beverage, events, or community building
- Experience with scheduling, inventory, and budgeting
- Specialty coffee knowledge
F&B veterans and corporate workers looking for a different path are welcome.
A Note From The Partners
We’ve spent enough time in high-growth startups and large corporations to know that bigger budgets and national scale aren't the only ways to measure success.
We’re prioritizing something different here. We value intentionality, genuine hospitality, and work that genuinely resonates with the people we serve. We’re looking for people who see hospitality as a craft. Folks who take pride in the details and find satisfaction in building a community, not just hitting a quarterly target.
To be honest, this role might not match a corporate paycheck. But what we hope to offer is rare: meaningful, focused work with a great team, in an environment that respects your life outside of our space. We work hard, but we believe the best service comes from people who have the time to live their own lives. If that sounds like you, we’d love to talk.
